Dr David Campbell graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1978 and worked in remote South Australia, remote Western Australia and far north Queensland prior to two years at Alice Springs Hospital.
Dr Campbell moved to Lakes Entrance in 1983.
After a decade at Lakes Entrance Community Health Centre and 12 months working in rural England and Wales, Dr Campbell established the Cunninghame Arm Medical Centre in 1994. The practice was one of the first in Australia to establish computerised medical records. CAMC has grown steadily since that time and has been situated at the current site since 2001. The branch practice in Bairnsdale, Dr Jane’s Place, was established in 2018.
Dr Campbell has special interests in emergency medicine, men’s health, skin cancer surgery, paediatrics, medical education and practice management.
Dr Campbell has been involved in medical education and rural medical workforce for more than thirty years. He is a Past-President of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and has been the Censor-in-Chief for the College since 2011.
Between 2003 and 2018 Dr Campbell worked as Associate Professor Rural Medicine and Director of the Monash University East Gippsland Regional Clinical School.
Dr Greg Hayes has been a part of Cunninghame Arm Medical Centre since 2006.
Prior to this, he had a private practice in Beaumaris for twenty years and did many locums in Victoria, as well as outback NSW and the Northern Territory before he re-located to Lakes Entrance and called it home.
Dr Hayes is interested in all aspects of General Practice, from children to the elderly.
Dr Hayes will be retiring from full-time practice mid-year, however, will continue working on a part-time basis.
Charmaine is a specialist GP. She also works as a GP anaesthetist. She was previously a pharmacist prior to becoming a doctor. She can help with: women's health and menopause, medical termination of pregnancy, medical weight-loss strategies, skin checks, diabetes, heart disease, pre anaesthetic assessments, IV access and infusions. Charmaine can help with medication review and de-prescribing where appropriate. She does not provide drugs-of-dependence for ongoing use, including sleeping tablets and morphine type tablets.
